I always say that I welcome problems because they wake me up. When there is a problem, I get energy to rise and I get it done.
If life is always twenty-four hours amusing and interesting and only wiling away time, I think we are wasting time. I was taught as a child “Work while you work and play while you play.” When it is time to study, we must study. When it is time to work, we must be totally involved in work. When it is time to relax and amuse ourselves, we must relax. However, it seems that what usually happens is that when it is time to relax we bring all the business problems to the dining table or lunch table and when it is time to work, we make a program to go to some other place and avoid work. This creates problems.
It is helpful if your life is arranged like a well-organized wallet. If things are kept in their own different pockets you always know where to find them. You are not fumbling to find them but will always look in the right place. If you are a clever horse-rider, no matter what the horse does, you are able to control his steps. Similarly, to control the steps of life, one has to be particular and have a guideline, or reins.
I would suggest that you always keep your mind positive. Where mind is positive, nothing lacks. To me, world does not exist. What exists is your mind and your thoughts. Your thoughts create complexities, and beauties and give you what you need. You have to unweave or unravel your personality and keep it clear. If you have driven on a wrong road for many miles, you have to drive back and restart. Yoga teaches you to keep your mind clear. When your mind is clear and your thoughts are good, you will have premonitions or will always know what to do next.
If you ever have problems, don’t grieve. Take the message and find the cause or root of the problem. Then cut the root. When you have a lot of knowledge and strength, problems seem very little. They are just demanding your attention. Problems are given to children in school to solve and learn from. Similarly, in real life, take the problem as a process of learning. Be stronger than the problem. It is only a message that demands your attention. All problems can become assets, capital, wealth, learning and possessions. Welcome the problems and be thankful for them.
